"Sea angling leaves no room for compromise; whether in the fishing tackle, the crew or the boat, nothing can be left to chance. At the heart of the action I don't want to run the risk of breaking a rod or missing lures. The same goes for my liferaft which has a prominent place on my pre-departure checklist. As an angling champion, I chose top of the range gear of the highest quality; as a skipper, to ensure the safety of my crew, I choose the best make of liferaft.."

Gerard Sevilla
European Tuna Angling Champion

The SY 6 is designed for emergency use in coastal waters within 20 miles of a shore line or shipping lanes. It enjoys a distinct advantage over other manufacturer's inshore liferafts because it features 2 independent tubes rather than a single tube divided into 2 side chambers which will list badly if one chamber is damaged.

  • a quick fit orange canopy with reflective tapes to completely cover the raft and protect the occupants
  • two superposed independent buoyant tubes
  • a boarding ladder, interior and exterior safety lines
  • 4 stabilizing water ballast pockets
  • bags that hold the regulatory safety equipment including a drogue anchor, distress flares (6 hand held and 2 parachute types), paddles and a bailer
