Derived from a professional liferaft, the Class Ocean liferaft is constructed to demanding specifications identical to those applied to SOLAS liferafts. The liferafts are subjected to rigorous temperature range and drop tests. It has specific equipment for greater comfort, in fact its design far surpasses the regulatory norms to make survival at sea less stressful and safer. It meets most of the applicable international marine regulations, notably ORC.

The equipment that complies with ORC regulations maintains a weight that makes the raft easy to handle. It is recommended to supplement personal equipment may be packed in a watertight bag or attached to the liferaft, consisting of : a distress signal, navigation equipment, water, fishing equipment, clothes, pharmaceutical products, etc.

The double layer isolating tent was subjected to drop tests that correspond to the impact of breaking waves. Held by 2 inflatable arches, it has several openings that can be adjusted depending on weather conditions. Closing is operated by zippers.

  • The big opening between the arches permits good visibility on both sides of the raft and makes boarding easier.
  • In heavy sea and wind conditions there is a half position on each side or just one side.
  • The canopy can also be closed. An observation opening position is also possible on one or 2 sides.
  • 2 Independent superposed buoyancy tubes
  • One inflatable boarding ramp and a weighted boarding ladder on the opposite side
  • 2 inflatable arches
  • a two layer insulated canopy, orange with retro-reflective bands on the outside and a blue colour on the inside (blue is a restful color)
  • an aluminum lined composite floorboard providing protection from hypothermia
  • a self bailer and an integrated bailer
